Workshop title: "Library of Nature: Developing literacy based on the natural environment rather than the digital fantasy world"

Early childhood educators that use the "Library of Nature" methodology believe that nature is at the heart of literacy needed for 21st century living. The "Library of Nature" uses a child-centred discovery method every day while exploring the natural environment and then re-inforces learning experience back at the centre/kindergarten with an abundance of New Zealand non-fiction books letting Nature tell her story.
